2015 ARIAS-US Fall Conference

Elaine was a panel member at the 2015 ARIAS-US Fall Conference that was held November 12-13 in New York City, New York.  The panel was entitled:  Recent Changes in Contract Wording: Not Your Grandfather’s Clauses Anymore. In preparation for the panel, Elaine developed a new, progressive arbitration clause to be used in reinsurance contracts.

Elaine moderated a panel for the Massachusetts Reinsurance Bar Association at its annual Symposium, held on Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Harvard Club Back Bay in Boston, Massachusetts.  The panel included ILS experts Sean McCarty of Aon Benfield Securities, Judy Klugman of Swiss Re Capital Markets, John Seo of Fermat Capital Management and Steven Morris of Liberty Mutual, and addressed the expansion of insurance linked securities in the traditional reinsurance arena, the current state of the market, and trends over the next few years.

Elaine is actively involved with the Corporate Board Committee of The Boston Club.  The Boston Club is an organization dedicated to advancing women leaders in Massachusetts, and the Corporate Board Committee’s mission is to increase the number of women on corporate boards in Massachusetts.  Elaine was recently appointed to be the Corporate Board Committee liaison to the Governance Committee of The Boston Club.
